Please pray for our friends in Thika in response to these requests:

The weather is too hot and we fear there may be very little to harvest if any.  Please pray for the farmers as most have suffered severe losses in the past seasons. 

Ezekiel Okello (from Namrata Shah Children’s Home) passed away through a road accident on his way home from Kenyatta University where he was a first year student.  He was hit by a speeding car and on being rushed to Agha Khan Hospital ICU he died.  He is being buried tomorrow Saturday.  Please pray for his brother Charles as he has been overwhelmed by the death and also for the other Namrata Shah Children who grew up knowing him as their brother.  Also for Josphat, the manager of the Home.

The Umoja (Church & Community Mobilisation) programme for sustainable development is getting under way in seven very needy parishes.  Please pray that the facilitators’ training workshop will go well this month, and that they will understand the process well.  Also that God will inspire our trainee facilitators and guide them in this journey, and that they may find favour with the local church members and build good relationships.
