In some of our churches across the Mission Community on 9th August we shall celebrate the ancient English festival of Lammas “loaf-mass”. The service will follow the usual pattern of Holy Communion but with the addition of a loaf of bread to symbolise our offering of the first fruits of the harvest to God.
