This sounds bizarre but Kids Church got the congregation of St Mary’s Walkhampton sniffing toilet rolls this morning. The reason for this odd behaviour? The kids had decoupaged toilet rolls and then added perfume to them to make a number of different smells. The illustration was the craft work following the re-telling of the story of Mary anointing Jesus and washing his feet (John 12). They wanted everyone to see what they had done…No one escaped.

“I bet you didn’t come to church to sniff toilet rolls,” laughed Nick who was interviewing the Kids Church at the end of the service. The serious point that the Kids picked up was our love for God – and God’s love for us.
